Ranges near Greensburg
I recently moved to Greensburg from Tampa, FL and am jonesin' to do some shooting. I'm interested in pistol, rifle, and sporting clays.
I noticed several locations are "Clubs," do you have to be a member to shoot at their ranges?
I also noticed that I can shoot at the State Game Lands public ranges...do these get real crowded?
I got spoiled in FL by shooting on a friends property for free. Otherwise there were a couple ranges that I could just pay by the hour/day/clay.
If you have to be a member of a club to shoot at their facilities, can anyone recommend one?
Thanks!

Re: Ranges near Greensburg
Welcome to PA.
Not exactly what you are looking for (indoor range only), but A&S Pistol in Youngwood is well-regarded by the people I know that shoot there. If you are willing to travel a bit more, Pitcairn Monroevile Sportsmen's Club is the Holy Grail of gun clubs in the Pittsburgh area. PMSC requires membership, but it is quite easy to join, from what some of the members have posted on here (I'm not a member myself.)Last edited by dirksterg30; June 24th, 2014 at 08:12 AM.

Re: Ranges near Greensburg
Thanks, A&S is nearby and would work when the itch got real bad, and I've heard others recommend Pitcairn... I'm also considering the PA State Game Lands
If anyone's got some land and is looking for a new friend...?
