Action Pistol Match
I've held off on posting anything because I wasn't sure if we were going to have a match this month. Thankfully Pete has decided to continue the matches.
Match fee is $10
Signups start about 9am (if your a new shooter there is some additional paperwork)
Safety meeting and description on the stages 9:30am
First shots at 10am
There will be six stages. Minimum round count of 67.
Lunch is available for a small fee.
For more info contact Pete at: ptb1014@gmail.com
Following the main pistol match there will be a BUG (back up gun) match. The fee is $3.00.
The round count will be 35 and the stages will be modified from stages 3 & 4 & 5 & 6. Be prepared to shoot steel and moving targets with your BUG.

Re: Action Pistol Match
Forty one shooters yesterday. What a great time. Had to head out to work and missed the BUG match. I know some from the forum were there (Cliff, Nate B) I'm sure others from the forum were there also, I just don't know who.
See everyone at next months match on July 24th

Re: Action Pistol Match
I didn't shoot the bug match either but I was done frying in the sun. Didn't do as bad as I thought either. Felt like I had a terrible accuracy day. Worse than usual

Re: Action Pistol Match
The BUG match was a blast,4 more stages with the back up gun. The club does such a nice job hosting these. Thanks to everyone who helps set up.
Man it was hot in that sun I drank like a camel when I got home.Jim @ kitchenknifefora.com

Re: Action Pistol Match
The 50 yard range was HOT! and I had my pop-up sitting right behind the car... I should have went and got it.... That's what did me in for not shooting in the BUG match...
Great match as always! Although I didn't get to harass young Seth this match.... AirportFF and I were bickerer like school children! We kept ourselves humored .
Sal and Sal Jr were fiercely competing (and the scores show exactly how well and fast they shot....)
NathanB managed to not take out any Innocents this match.

Re: Action Pistol Match
Hi All,
It was my first time to the match. It was a great time! I will definitely be returning as much as possible. The bug match was fun. First time I used a wheel gun in competition. It was tough to hit that swinger with a 1 1/2 barrel!

Re: Action Pistol Match
I really surprised myself that I finished in the top 10 overall for accuracy given the shooters that were there. It was a nice confidence boost. Those .40 S&W loads were perfect for this.
Looking at the scores for SSP/UNC it looks like speed is more important that accuracy. Just dump the mag and run like hell....

That's what Aaron and I were talking about too. Be somewhat accurate but run it fast. I just picked up another child today for next month........

Re: Action Pistol Match
Hey guys is there any way to see the courses we shot? I wouldn't mind setting up a few to run through for practice.
