Default CC Permits - The more States the Better?

I have a VA CC permit. I am a VA resident working in PA, and my VA permit allows me to carry in PA. I am going to get either a UT or a FL permit in addition to my VA permit. My VA along w/ a FL will allow me to carry in 33 states. My VA along w/ a UT will allow me to carry in 34 states. Between FL & UT I'm essentially trading KS for MN & WA.

Saying that, should I get a PA permit as well? It does not get me any additional states. But, i there any advantage is having 3 CC permits or in having a permit in PA since I spend alot of time there.

I would think that if your VA permit allows you to carry in PA, and having a PA LTCF doesn't give you any more states than the others do, then getting one is just a waste of money.

I've considered obtaining either a FL or UT Non-Resident permit at one time. The fact is I don't really travel outside of PA much except for surrounding states. The states that allow CC surrounding PA pretty much accept my PA permit.

If I get into a situation where I will be traveling further out on a more regular basis, I'll definitely get one.

I like to have a permit for any state I'm likely to spend any amount of time in. I don't relish the idea of trying to explain reciprocity on the side of the road at night.

You do not get Kansas with a FL license. FL has a reciprocity agreement with Kansas, but:

    http://licgweb.doacs.state.fl.us/new...led_carry.html

    Colorado (1,4)
    Kansas (1,4)
    Michigan (1,4)
    New Hampshire (1,3,4,6)
    South Carolina (1,4,6)
    West Virginia (1,4)

    (4) These states will honor the Florida concealed weapon license ONLY IF the licensee is a resident of the State of Florida.

I thought about a FL license to get SC but oh well for me too.

Why not, a PA LTCF is only about $30 for 5 years.

Dang, back when I had one it only cost 19 bucks!!! Still I guess 30 wouldn't be bad. But I agree, why get one if it will be pretty much meaningless? Thats 30 bucks you can spend on dinner...

Unfortunately, not nearly as much ammo as you could buy back when LTCFs were only $19.
