    Default Overnight Shipping

I overheard someone saying that all handguns must be shipped via overnight shipping, is this true?

This is not a legal restriction, but rather a policy imposed by the carrier. I know for sure that both FedEx and UPS have such policies.

As evidenced by C&R purchases online, my experience is yes. Not that getting it faster is a complaint with me.

If you follow UPS and FedEx rules, then it's overnite. But a lot of handguns show up in my rural , along-the-road, on-a-post mailbox. Sometimes more than one. So a lot of guys don't follow the rules.

    Yeah they require overnight...

"In theory" it is due to enhanced tracking abilities and more reliable delivery with less handoffs for potential loss or tampering.

In reality its so they can change more
The first vehicles normally on the scene of a crime are ambulances and police cruisers. If you are armed you have a chance to decide who gets transported in which vehicle, if you are not armed then that decision is made for you.

Be prepared, because someone else already is and no one knows their intent except them.

I would stick with FedEx. I've read in other forums of guns being 'lost' while in the hands of UPS.

    Here's one:
