Rifle registery Rumor?
To day at work a customer came in and told me there was a rumor of a pa rifle registry in the works. Is there any truth to that? It would be horrible if it was.

Re: Rifle registery Rumor?
It starts tomorrow so if you don't have your paperwork in order you are SOL and must hand all your rifles over to me for proper disposal.

Re: Rifle registery Rumor?
It's true. Eastern half of Pennsylvania turns their rifles in tomorrow (Friday).
Western half gets until Monday.
You know, that Philadelphia bias in play.
All Kane's doing by the way.

As far as I know, this is it...

There is a walk and rally scheduled in support of Universal Background Checks in PA, sponsored by Delaware County United for Sensible Gun Policy.
It looks like some folks are getting together to stage a protest against universal background checks and an open carry walk along with them.
I've seen most of this through Facebook.
Counter Rally: https://www.facebook.com/events/580457748734988/
Join us in countering the gun rights haters' "Walk & Rally for Universal Background Checks on Gun Sales" (http://delcounited.net/2014/05/15/wa...-on-gun-sales/). They want to "...demonstrate deep and broad support in Delaware County for universal backgrounds checks on gun sales and to raise the need for universal background checks...". We're going to show them that there is deeper and broader support for liberty. We're not going to allow them to implement more ineffective measures that are only incremental steps toward disarming us completely.
We'll start at 1pm rallying and waving signs and flags at the intersection of Providence Rd and Baltimore Pike in Media, PA. At June 28th, 1:45 we'll move 1 block down the road to rally across the street from the Providence Friends Meeting House (http://www.providencemeeting.org/). Their walkers are scheduled to arrive there at 2pm and their rally begins at 2:30.
Invite all of your friends!

Given that the gun rights haters may become angry at our presence and try to provoke us I propose that we follow these guidelines:
3. We will not use or carry alcohol or illegal drugs.
4. We will not run or make threatening motions.
5. We will not insult, swear or attack others.
6. We will protect those who oppose or disagree with us from insult or attack.
7. We will not assault, verbally or physically, those who oppose or disagree with us

While many claim to support the right, precious few support the practice.

Re: Rifle registery Rumor?
There has been discussions/rumors/etc. about eliminating the private sales of rifles in Pennsylvania in the name of universal background checks.
...and they have a plan...

Re: Rifle registery Rumor?
This how you get sandbagged. What? You are against universal background checks? Of course, when you have already signed on to the principle of background check, how do you oppose making it universal? You mean you want to background check only some people? Remember, this rally is not intended to change the minds of NRA members. This designed for the 6 O'clock news.

Re: Rifle registery Rumor?
And if dropping them off to allegheny county is a little to far you may also do the same here at my location however prior to disposal I'm supposed to make sure they are in operable condition at my range and store them indefinitely to assure nobody makes improper use of them.

Re: Rifle registery Rumor?
Anyone who thinks there arent ongoing attempts at total gun registries is not living in the USA. My guess is the feds have a list and the state has its own attempts at one.
So you bought all your long guns face to face or made them from 80% lowers? So now the feds dont know about you? That would be nice.
Except you bought a case of. 308 online and you looked up youtube vids of field stripping an AR. You bought ammo with a credit card, you surfed a forum for info about reloading, you compared prices vs msrp at cabelas and brownells. You bought The Art of the Rifle on Amazon, and here you are on PAFOA.
We know the government hacked google and facebook and paid off microsoft. Do you think browsing around the internet and looking up gun stuff isnt noticed?
There is not a direct registry per se, but there is a database somewhere in the NSA and we are all in it.Sic semper tyrannis
