Default Open carry a Glock 41

Would that be ridiculous? The Glock 41 seems to be of the same size as a 1911. I carried a fullsize 1911 for nearly twenty years. The only reason I don't have a Glock in 45 acp is because I'm Goldilocks. The grip on the early gen G21s were too big. I didn't like the short grip on the G30's. I thought many times about a G38 but ....
The 41 slide is narrow as well and not the four lane blacktop of the other Glock 45's. Even with the SF the G21 still has that wiiide sliiide. Also the 41 is a minuscule lighter if I'm remembering correctly.

If you were me and wanted a Glock in 45 ACP for damn near forever and would be using it as a carry gun, open carry, would you think the G41 is fine or go with the Glock 21? Keeping in mind that the 41 and 1911 are similar in length

Aren't there also problems with Gen 4 G21's?

    Thanks for reading

The only thing ridiculous is that you haven't open carried it yet

The PSP ismoving away from the Gen 4 G21and into the Sig P227 due to some issues they've supposedly had... I wouldn't let that stop me though.

It's a perception thing. I don't want to give the Freudian impression I'm compensating.
Especially when I think fellow gun owners are the harshest critics. "Look at this guy carrying the hand cannon. Look at this guy with the modern day Buntline. Oh big man"!
I couldn't get over how much thinner the slide is.

After handling a 21 ans a 41, both Gen 4, it felt to me that the 41's grip felt better in my hand. I would have a hard time with a 21 trying to manipulate the trigger.

    Go for the 41

I would look at it and go " sweet 41."

Thanks for the input. I like the feel of the 41 and I planned it being my next purchase. I did finally get to handle the G30S and while it is very close to size as my G19 it still didn't "feel" as good.
This thread was somewhat tongue in cheek but then again, no one wants to be "that guy ".

I think it's a great open carry option.

The only thing I would be concerned of - does it have the 3.5lb connector stock? I know for the 34 and 35 Glock actually doesn't recommend them for duty or defensive use because of the lighter trigger. With that statement coming straight from Glock it could increase your liability risk. Something to look into and it would be as easy as getting a standard 5.5lb connector off another Glock model.
