Thumbs up Finally! NO thumb safety M&P Shields…..

Multiple sources telling me my new summer carry piece will be shipping mid-June and costing me no more than the TS model. April fools is over, my wife thinks I haven't bought a gun in a while, and Smith and Wesson listened to their customers.

Glock, anyone listening over there? Oh right, your correcting your screw ups with a worked over 42…..

Damnit. I wish they came out with this from the get-go.

I have a Shield and its not like its easy to activate the safety by accident. Why not just leave it off?

I get that; but I have no handguns, except a single pesky 1911 (that never gets carried), that have a manual safety. I don't train with a manual safety, and I don't wanna be fumble fucking with it when I'm potentially defending my life (if I were to activate it, somehow, in the course of carry).

Hey that's nice for certain applications but I am of the thought if you don't have time to deactivate a safety...you have already done a lot of things wrong by that point, and the safety is not the problem.
