Is northampton county slow to issue permits?
I renewed toward the end of April and still haven't received anything in the mail. I'm in Northampton county. If I can remember back 5 years I thought normal time frame was about 3 weeks.
Just curious if anyone else renewed recently and about how long it took. I've been a ccw permit holder for 20 years.

When they said 6 weeks they meant it. I would call at 45 days, that's all the time they are allowed. Further, under law you are considered approved then if you have not received a denial. Not sure that will help at the side of the road but it might in court.

I just made a phone call and now you're not only on the terrorist watch list but your ltcf application has been accelerated to the circular file......whatever that is.
No thanks necessary.FUCK BIDEN

Re: Is northampton county slow to issue permits?
I just wanted to make sure it didn't get lost in the mail. I've had stuff go missing already and I don't know what is going on with the post office in my area but things have gone down hill in the past 6 Months or so. I'll call at the end of next week if I don't get it by then.

Re: Is northampton county slow to issue permits?
Just so you know the LTCF unit of NCS has recently lost a person. They are making changes to there systems to improve the efficiency as they are not able to get a replacement.
I was talking with a deputy last week from the unit and he advised that though they have a number of applications being processed, they are working to get them taken care of expeditiously. And they are meeting or beating the 45 calender day mark on most.
One thing he mentioned is that when you submit your application, make a note to refer to later on. He said they do handle a number of calls saying they are over the time when in fact it was only a few weeks being processed. The anticipation of receiving the LTCF is great sometimes.

Re: Is northampton county slow to issue permits?
Thanks for the info Tsor. That makes sense as I don't ever remember it taking this long. I do still have my receipt so I know exactly the day I applied. I'll give it the full 45 days and then call. I tried to get in, renew, and actually get my new one before my current one expired but that didn't happen. My current one expired yesterday.
