I had a neighbor stop in who lives about 1 mile away, he had 2 bears in his yard 2 days ago and my other neighbor across the road had his suet removed yesterday. Looks like a good year for bear hunting.

    Bottle rockets.

Best thing for chasing off bears, raccoons, any critters.

    Try it they work.

I have a huge raccoon problem around my house getting my dogs stirred up and barking.

Send a few bottle rockets their way, wait a couple minutes and send a couple more.

    safe and fun.

We just had more reports today of bird feeders being knocked over and trash cans raided here in Tioga County. Seems they are on the rampage this year.

After I saw the bear poop on my road, I heard from others nearby they have seen a bear, so I've got one around for sure.

At our cabin in Clinton county above Lock Haven last weekend:
Friday night bear comes up to scratch tree by cabin.
Saturday morning ~450 lb bruin strolls down driveway and trail like he owns the place
Saturday night another bear comes around by fire
Sunday morning kick out a bear down by the stream running in the back of the property.

    Won't see one in November

If you have garbage cans outside and have bird feeders you are pretty much feeding the bears. I know it's not your intention but the bears don't know the difference. They make "bear proof" trash cans but I never tried one. I used to have bears all the time. My house is right next to a swamp. I had 5 in my yard at one time. I learned to not leave my garbage outside and they went away. They usually only trash your grill once before they learn there is nothing inside worth the trouble. I only had one this year. It broke the front porch railing off and flipped over my grill and smoker. Hasn't been back since. I heard bleach or Amonia works if your pour it on your garbage supposedly the smell will keep them away. I think it just flavors the garbage. They still tore mine up anyway. Maybe I didn't use enough. We have a community dumpster so it's easy for me to take my trash every day. You might not have it so easy. Good luck.
