I have run the scenario of a carjacking down a few times in my head. If i wasn't able to quickly and safely drive away, I think if I read the situation right, I could see leaving the vehicle as a benefit in three ways; one it's me cooperating making said theif feel in control, second it would shift their focus briefly off me to the vehicle, and finally it would allow me to draw my pistol from pocket unencumbered. Though at that point you risk a bad shoot if your getting out of harm.
Maybe a seat holster is something to seriously consider.

But you missing the double negative of the brother's statement. So the two negatives cancel each other out and you get "He was a Thief". I would love to take credit but it was in the comments.

Well, that information came from the mouth of a retired cop who just killed somebody, so could be bullshit.

Regardless, anything short of those two guys turning tail and running and I am OK with it.

Maybe Mr. Ocampo was just a car enthusiast?

"Nice ride, homes! Can I sit in it?"

    "No! BANG! BANG!"
