Re: “He Wasn’t No Thief.” And Yet, He Died Attempting A Carjacking.
I have run the scenario of a carjacking down a few times in my head. If i wasn't able to quickly and safely drive away, I think if I read the situation right, I could see leaving the vehicle as a benefit in three ways; one it's me cooperating making said theif feel in control, second it would shift their focus briefly off me to the vehicle, and finally it would allow me to draw my pistol from pocket unencumbered. Though at that point you risk a bad shoot if your getting out of harm.
Maybe a seat holster is something to seriously consider."Governments... derive their just powers from the consent of the governed."

But you missing the double negative of the brother's statement. So the two negatives cancel each other out and you get "He was a Thief". I would love to take credit but it was in the comments.

Maybe Mr. Ocampo was just a car enthusiast?
"Nice ride, homes! Can I sit in it?"
"No! BANG! BANG!"
