Default Alloy Frame Hi Power at AIM

    http://www.aimsurplus.com/product.as...search=belgium

I did not know about these, but I am certainly not a Hi Power expert. Supposedly made for European police. I had a chance to get a pretty nice 70's steel frame for $600 and passed earlier this year. Wondering if these are decent shooters. Anyone know more about these or have any experience with them?

I had thought about it. AIM had them in stock briefly twice in the past 6 months. They are out of stock now.

I like older surplus pistols but a lot of these looked really beat and for $500 I didn't bite. I figured by the time I went through it and got it refinished so it didn't rust away, I could have a new Hi Power. If they were $350-$400 I might move off the fence.

Didn't surplus Hi Powers used to be a lot more common? What happened? Did I just start WAY too late in life buying guns? I seem to have totally missed the window on buying anything at a bargain.

They didn't last long. Were listed in their sales email I received on Tuesday. Moot point now.

Try CDI sales on gunbroker (Gary Cole) I got a couple of Israel ones. Quite happy with them. They are steel framed police/military turn ins.

I recall you talking about these before. Don't appear to be any of those right now. Just a pile of reparked ones, some with replacement slides and barrels.
