It should be noted that anytime you are working on a trigger, even if you're polishing it, you have to be careful around the engagement surfaces. Polishing is fine, but it's very important for people to understand that you do NOT need to change the geometry of those surfaces, only polish them. They are designed a particular shape so that they have the right contact and engagement. So anytime you are polishing contact areas in a trigger (like where the sear engages, etc.) make sure to keep the shapes the same.

Sometimes this is a bad idea. Lightening a hammer can make it travel faster, but sometimes it will not have enough mass behind it to cause reliable ignition, especially in a rimfire. Most aftermarket firing pins that are lighter also have a heavier spring so that it can make up for the loss of mass with more velocity. The heavier spring can sometimes make it a bit more stiff to cam the bolt over. So some people may want to do this, but if they start having problems with ignition of some ammo, the decreased mass is possibly a problem.

Let me know how that turns out. Mine is very accurate but the hard trigger definitely throws off some shots. Trigger polish job has been on my list for a while.
