I like to buy stuff from their barrel of broken or incomplete civilian guns and make a project out of them.
Bring a flashlight....the place is so poorly lit you can't see shit. Especially if youare looking in parts bins.

I use them for parts and the odd gun, decent folks. I have NOT had a bad purchase yet, but I know wtf I am looking for. I pass by the worn out crap parts and the chinese repro "GI" parts they sell.

I did recently buy a pretty decent "barrel gun special"....4-55 gallon drums full of odd rifles and shotguns, found a bolt action savage I am going to make a project out of with my son.

Buyer beware, but they are decent in most respects. Glad they got the hell out of NJ.

How much was the transfer fee for the rifle from one of the barrels?
    ...and they have a plan...

To be honest I don't remember, I bought the rifle for $75, something else for around 10, figure tax and the pics check fee, it was right around $100 total, don't think there was a transfer fee other than the pics fee.

I will have to find my receipt.

Glad to hear you had a good experience with them. I always find something I like on their tables at Knob Creek.

So why not just buy an Auto Ordnance 1911?

Impressive! Thank you. I had only asked them for their price for a transfer when purchased elsewhere, which was $50. I was having a hard time accepting a $50 fee on a $50 gun, so I'm glad that is not the case!

It's a great place to spend a few hours, tons of odd ball stuff. The people are always nice.
