Friday was not a good day. My Doctors have relegated me to the Injured Reserve List. Bluntly put, my family Doc "I am removing your Energizer Bunny (ME) Batteries". Some tests went up, some down. Basically they want me to slow down. This could be a Chuck Hunting season ending, but Doc and the Specialist did not specify a date. Soooooo today I went where I know a chuck that works mid-day. I know , I know ; follow your Doctors rules, but an addiction (chuck hunting) is hard to shake.

A good spot on the bump of a hill in the grass. Using 10X binocs, motion and a patch of color. I did not have to extend my Harris bi-pod. I kept it at 5 inches on the .204. Slowly jacking up the 6-24, I was gettin' a good look at one staring at me in the grass. UH-OH--This is a repeat of my thread, 'Last Bite'--Fatigue and cramping. I could see ears, eyes and nose in the heavy grass. He just kept on peeking / staring at me. Time to launch one.

I believe this was my best HOLD of the season. Zeroed in at 1 inch high at 200 yards, I just put the rock steady hairs between his eyes.

1) Where he dropped in heavy cover---221 yards paced off
2) DAMAGE or a major face lift. What is inside those V Max Hornadys ???????
3) Reposition--Head on shot and that 32 grainer took out the side of his face also.
4) Reposition to hole----He was a biggie'---Ps: Docs--It only took about 30 minutes---I will follow your rules---Things could change in a follow-up visit.

Caught by Grumpy----Yes, I try to be on the same page as my Doctors, but there is so much left to accomplish I sometimes have the bar set too high. They know me and do issue wake up calls.

I have been in the Temple University Lung Program for 10 years, in Philly. I owe them big time---I will follow their game plan and just gear up for the next 10 years.
