Sounds to me like they are asking for a law suit.

Best of luck. I hope you get your firearm back and it didn't "disappear".

You know, I am really getting SICK and tired of this bullshit. I'm tired of police officers, WHO'S JOB IT IS TO KNOW AND ENFORCE THE LAW imposing their beliefs on us, those WHO OBEY AND FOLLOW THE LAW.

    How about "generalities", then?

It would certainly help those of us who are positioning ourselves to be the next folks who LEOs "try to make an example out of."

    This is only the beginning.

If LEOs KNEW the law, they'd be lawyers.

I think the biggest problem with immediately jumping to JBT is that people who hear about these incidents and go looking for information on them will read the comments and be turned against us by our own choice of words. We know we aren't a group of paranoid conspiracy theorists, but the on the fence person looking for more information is going to read such comments and assume we are.

The powers that be do more than enough to try to discredit us, we need to police ourselves so that we don't help them.

The problem is that I think many of the WBPD have the "we're big, we're bad and we'll kick your a$$"......mentality thing going on.

Can't wait to see how they try and cover their a$$ on this one.

The "generalities" asked for are the basic facts of the incident. Any additional details will be forthcoming. One must be patient - all in due time.

As to how to position oneself should you be involved in an incident? Be knowledgeable of the law as already discussed on this forum, including open carry (two supreme court cases), reasonable articulable suspicion of a crime to justify a Terry stop, probable cause, Hiibel v. Arizona (on providing identification), Miranda v. Ohio (on providing statements absent a "Miranda" warning). If necessary, have the officer call for a supervisor.

It all boils down to how confident you yourself feel in handling such a situation. Also, do you view a police officer as omnipotent, or just another human being?

Will Dickson City get slammed? Will Wilkes-Barre get slammed? You betcha!
