Re: Heidelberg Sportsman’s Association Multi Gun Shoot
Is Heidelberg still running the .22 class in the 3 gun? I didn't get to any comps last year but remember reading they were running a 22 class last year. If they are still running it, does that mean no shotgun? Must both the rifle and handgun be 22 or can just the rifle be 22 and the handgun be a 9mm? Sorry, for what might seem like stupid questions....

Re: Heidelberg Sportsman’s Association Multi Gun Shoot
Unfortunately we have been phasing the rim fire out. We have been using quite a bit of steel knockdown targets to help speed things up with scoring and resetting the stages.

Re: Heidelberg Sportsman’s Association Multi Gun Shoot
No problem for me. I didn't participate last year and just remembered seeing that you were running a rimfire category. I am planning on being there on Sat with a friend. I mentioned that you had been running a rimfire class and he expressed an interest. We can both compete with center fire as well. Thanks for the quick reply.

Re: Heidelberg Sportsman’s Association Multi Gun Shoot
The round counts for this months shoot will be as follows. (Bring extra if you plan on missing) The round counts may be adjusted slightly as final setup is completed.
Shotgun 28 or 36
Pistol 65 or 57
Rifle 63
You will have a choice of or a combination of pistol and or shotgun on a stage.
Let's hope for some great weather this weekend!

Re: Heidelberg Sportsman’s Association Multi Gun Shoot
Hi everyone,
Thanks for coming out to the shoot today. Today's stages were definitely challenging and shook things up. Results are here.
Hope to see everyone again next month.

Re: Heidelberg Sportsman’s Association Multi Gun Shoot
Thank you for running the match, I had fun. I am always a big fan of the arcade stages.
I saw some confusion between different squads on how stages were to be shot. A simple step to help with that is to type up a stage description when you are planning them out and spell out any specifics to the stage. Then everyone has the same guidelines and all competitors can read the same briefing. If anything is changed or clarified during the day it can be written down so the following squads know how it was previously shot.

Re: Heidelberg Sportsman’s Association Multi Gun Shoot
LOL! Good luck making suggestions to those guys. The wheels of change move quicker at PennDOT then they do there with the leadership. I'm not sure how a arcade scene belongs at a tactical shoot. They really should drop "tactical" from the title of their three Gunshoot. Myself and others have felt they really have gotten away from the tactical theme over the last two years.
Even with all the criticism I have posted here on PAFOA over the last year I still give this shoot a Two Thumbs Up. A small group of local guys with no real sense of tactical background made a monthly three Gunshoot that's lasted for years. There is always a lot of talk at other clubs but very few have ever done what they have. It just seems at times they should be more receptive to suggestions and change.
