Default 1911 Gunsmith in Western PA

I want to have some work done to my Colt Commander (04091U). Nothing extraordinary: gold dot front sight, low profile snag free rear sight, trigger job, fit a barrel and bushing, polish the feed ramp, tune the extractor, etc. Basic tuning and reliability work for a carry weapon.

I live in North Allegheny and would be willing to travel so I am asking PFOA members to recommend a smith in the area that is accepting work. If you would be so kind as to include telephone number and/or link it would be most appreciated.

    Halstead Machine, in Slippery Rock.
    Just off of rt. 8.
He specializes in 1911s and does very good work.
It has been a few years since I took anything to him so I do not have his number but it should be easy enough to look up.

Check out Jim Milks at Innovative Custom Guns. He did some work for me when he was the gunsmith at Evolution Gun Works.
