Need Reliable 1911 Gunsmith Harrisburg area

Looking for a reliable gun smith who knows 1911s. Had one very bad experience with a prominent gun shop in area...OVERLY EXPENSIVE for work done. If anyone has recommendations on gun smiths who are quality and fairly priced for services, let me know. Thanks.

Sorry OP, I can't help you. But I'm interested in the answer you get. I'm in the same general area and I have a 1911 I'd like to get some work done on.

Would you be able to say who previously did the work and what they did?

Thanks all. Have to agree Glocks sure are nice but I guess I am just a sentimental 1911 guy !! The gunsmith work was to some other guns right when I moved into the area not to the 1911. Live and learn. I may have a weak detent plunger spring. Just want to get it checked. Thanks again.

Just buy a set of springs from Wolf spring and replace them all. How old is the gun? How many rounds on this set of springs? For less than $30.00, you wind up with all new springs.
