Property To hunt Turkey?
Hey PAFOA,
I just found out today that the land I planned to scout this week has (2) others hunting first day turkey. I really don't feel like competing on a property that is only 20 acres for the (2) long beards running around.
Anyone in Upper Bucks County willing to let me Turkey hunt? It would be (2) guys (1) gun opening morning. I would like to scout (2) times this week. Both hunters very experienced.
I know this is a long shot and a little late, but I have to try. Even willing to work out some type of compensation for a good spot (hear or see them daily).
Please PM if anyone can help me out.
Thanks!Last edited by zswartley; April 28th, 2014 at 01:28 PM.

If you can get to Wisconsin, man do I have some turkeys for you! It's like pidgeons in Philly here. I see turkeys nearly everyday, and that's not even looking for them. Today my woods were full of them. I took a walk out in our local Wildlife Area...think State Gamelands....and there they were, lots of turkeys. Saw the ass end of a bear too....nice and far away.

Re: Property To hunt Turkey?
The house is full up but the garage is available, there's a nice lean-to (I'll move the tractor over) or you can pitch a tent. If real country ambiance is the goal I'll soon have an empty chicken coop.....and a chicken intensive menu. There are also some "rustic" cabins on the lake which is literally down the road, and it's a short road. Look up The Mohawk Resort in Crivitz. Resort is stretching it a bit but the restuarant/bar is definately on par with quality.
As we speak the turkeys are in the woods behind me. I see nice flocks everyday. The deer are also up and running after the severe winter here. The trees and plants are just beginning to get some green. I'm surprised the turkeys made it this well....one more reason to admire them. When the SHTF......be the fan.
