    Default A pocket "AR" pistol...

For those of us who think that a pocket revolver in .38 spl is unpleasant to shoot.... here is a single-shot, break-action pocket pistol in .223 Remington.

When you only get one shot, might as well go for broke. Think the size of the fireball that will come out of the muzzle when you press the trigger. At close range for such a gun is designed for, the fireball alone could probably do serious damage....

Heizer Defense PAR1 Pocket AR Pistol

In 2013, Heizer Defense introduced the PS1 Pocket Shotgun, capable of firing a single .410 gauge or .45 Colt round.

Heizer is now enhancing their design to chamber the .223 Rem. cartridge. Known as the Heizer Defense PAR1 Pocket AR Pistol, this “iPhone-sized” pistol uses the same reliable stainless steel frame as the PS1 Shotgun.

Debuting this weekend at the 2014 NRA Show in Indianapolis, the PAR1 Pocket AR Pistol also features familiar controls from the PS1 design, as well as a storage compartment in its grip.

Availability of the PAR1 Pocket AR Pistol is slated for July 2014 at an expected retail price of $449.

    I'll pass.

Next up: a derringer chambered for .30-06, then 8ga., and finally 7.62x39mm.

People complain about .223 velocity with 7.5" barrels, I would imagine the round just drops out of something as short as the Heizer. I'll wait for the 300 blackout version

I'm not in until they make 7.62x54r or .50 BMG, and I want it threaded.

Good luck getting any .223 bullet to expand with the velocity you get out of that tiny little barrel. It would probably be shootable with subsonic .223 loads. Overall it looks like a waste of effort to me. Worthless for pretty much anything other than a conversation piece.

A friend of mine carries the two shot .45 Heizer as his only carry gun, I have not shot it but I have handled it and I am not impressed by it. It is not that small or light, at around 500.00 I would rather have a kahr cm9 or other small pocket 9mm

    x39 is a better option than 223
