    Default Production Dates for TEC-DC9?

Does anyone know a reliable resource for Intratec TEC-DC9 pistols?

I've just about given up on finding exact dates based on serial number ranges, so a relative range would be great, too.

You've probably already seen this but I would email this guy:

He seems like quite an enthusiast. As far as "resources" go, it's probably going to be somebody like you, but that has the scoop. Not a book or website.

If it's a DC9, it was built somewhere between 90 and 94 according to Wikipedia.

Had an AB-10 (the post-AWB Tec-9) and it was just horrible. Constant FTF/FTE's, was inaccurate and heavy, and was just plain horrible all around. But it always drew a lot of attention at the range... The Tec-9 and DC-9 are supposed to be a bit more reliable though (with some work).

Traded mine a long time ago, and never looked back.

Short Version of the history of the Tec 9 Family.
    First came the Interdynamic MP-9

Think modern/plastic version of a sten, grease, or Carl Gustav m/45 gun. Open Bolt MG.
Then Interdynamic USA created KG-9 an open bolt semi-auto. ATF said no to easy to convert. Then they created the KG-99 a closed bolt semi-auto. Then Interdynamic USA closed. The KG comes from the two principal partners of Interdynamic Kelgren & Garcia. Kelgren design the firearm. He later formed the 3rd largest firearm manufacturer in the USA, Kel-Tec. (small world)
Garcia formed Intratec after Interdynamic closed. Garcia wanted a cheaper version of the KG-99 and finally the Tec-9 was created. The KG-99 and above are good firearms for what they are. The Tec-9 can be good if you prepare it. The story after that was a story of de-evolution. Longer barrel lead to shorter barrel then no threads and smaller mags. All due the the crazy AWB in '94. (and also a few crazy people who used it to commit crime)

Oh BTW does anyone have any 10 round Tec-9 mags? You can only find the big mags online. PM me if you do and you wish to get rid of them. Thanks
