    Question Help Identifying Old Shotgun!

I inherited what I believe is a Parker Brothers 16 gauge shotgun. The barrels are somewhat pitted inside but overall it's in pretty good shape.

Any idea what it is and how much it's worth?

Looks like it was made in 1910.

It is tough to help you with pictures that small and no close shots of every marking on any part.

Try using photobucket or some other image hosting site so you can link full size images rather than just attaching tiny shots on here.

Of course, give me a little credit. Plus if you link to your own attachment, you can get them to show in your post full size,

but they are still far too small to see the kind of details that are needed to ID an uncommon gun.

Follow this link and look at the "Parker Identification" page, it should tell you everything you are asking for.

Jim, thank you. You were by far the most helpful.

Using the link you provided I have discerned the following:

    Parker Brothers
    16 Gauge
    Made in 1910
    Grade VH
    Frame Size 0
    Vulcan Steel
    Hammerless

So now the question comes to value - any idea what this would go for on gunbroker? There are only two on there right now and both are too different from mine to tell.

This is close except mine doesn't have an extractor.

Seems like he's asking a bit much.

Gunbroker can be a strange place so. Looking up completed auctions for Parker VH's there are 12 pages X 50 of completed auctions (so ~6000 completed listings). Of those only 15 even got a bid and the only one I see that was actually sold (the rest didn't meet reserve) is this one. It is in similar condition as yours (zero case hardening). Looks like everyone is overpricing them.

I wish I would have saw it first! I always wanted a Parker and for $415 it was a bargain........

By the way........How did you not know anything about Parkers but know your shotgun was made in 1910?
