Help Identifying Old Shotgun!
I inherited what I believe is a Parker Brothers 16 gauge shotgun. The barrels are somewhat pitted inside but overall it's in pretty good shape.
Any idea what it is and how much it's worth?Last edited by Everlastingfate; April 23rd, 2014 at 10:59 AM.

Looks like it was made in 1910.

Re: Help Identifying Old Shotgun!
It is tough to help you with pictures that small and no close shots of every marking on any part.
Try using photobucket or some other image hosting site so you can link full size images rather than just attaching tiny shots on here.

Follow this link and look at the "Parker Identification" page, it should tell you everything you are asking for.

Re: Help Identifying Old Shotgun!
Jim, thank you. You were by far the most helpful.
Using the link you provided I have discerned the following:
Parker Brothers
16 Gauge
Made in 1910
Grade VH
Frame Size 0
Vulcan Steel
Hammerless
So now the question comes to value - any idea what this would go for on gunbroker? There are only two on there right now and both are too different from mine to tell.

Seems like he's asking a bit much.

Re: Help Identifying Old Shotgun!
Gunbroker can be a strange place so. Looking up completed auctions for Parker VH's there are 12 pages X 50 of completed auctions (so ~6000 completed listings). Of those only 15 even got a bid and the only one I see that was actually sold (the rest didn't meet reserve) is this one. It is in similar condition as yours (zero case hardening). Looks like everyone is overpricing them.

I wish I would have saw it first! I always wanted a Parker and for $415 it was a bargain........
By the way........How did you not know anything about Parkers but know your shotgun was made in 1910?Last edited by Delkal; April 25th, 2014 at 09:34 PM.
