Glock trigger

I bought a new 22 gen 4, it came with a smooth trigger face instead of the ridges, is this standard for new Glocks?

Also, what are some good replacement triggers? I want a shorter and crisper pull.

The G24, G35 and G22 comes with a smooth trigger. The G23 and G27 come with a grooved trigger. It was all started as an import points thing. The grooved trigger adds like 5 points over the smooth.

I like the smooth triggers so any Glock that I get that has a grooved trigger gets a smooth one put on.

Learn to shoot it. It is a defensive pistol. I am not a fan of aftermarket parts in a defensive pistol. If you are going to use it as a range/comp pistol, then the sky is the limit.

Go to your next gun show. The Glock guy that seems to be at every show can get you where you want to be.

My gen 4 G26 now has the smooth trigger, lighter Glock springs and a gen 3 trigger bar. It is a great combination and cost a total of $35 installed while I stood there.

All Glock parts. All in unaltered conditions. Just different combinations that yield very nice results.

I believe full size pistols get the smooth trigger and compacts/sub compacts get the serrated ones. I'm not sure why that is.

Pistols: A pistol must earn at least 75 points from the following characteristic areas:

Overall Length For each 1/4" over 6", 1 pt.
Frame Construction If investment cast or forged steel, 15 pts.; if investment cast or forged HTS alloy, 20 pts.
Weight One pt. per ounce; most pistols weigh between 15-40 ounces.
Caliber If between .22 LR and .380 ACP, three pts.; if 9mm or larger, 10 pts.
Safety Features Firing pin block or lock, 10 pts.; locked breech, loaded chamber indicator and magazine safety, 5 pts. each; grip safety, 3 pts.

The only thing for me to make a stock Glock trigger great is a Glockworx minus connector. YMMV. Easy to install yourself and only about $20. You don't know how much you'll love the smooth trigger until you get a ribbed one.... (It's not for your pleasure....)

As has been said the full size guns have the smooth face trigger the compacts have serrated. You can put a serrated trigger in if you want, just order one for the same caliber in the smaller frame. In your case a Glock 19/23 trigger should drop right in.

If you're mechanically inclined the Rocket Trigger Bar Connector from Ghost Inc. Is pretty decent. You have to hand fit it. There are much more expensive options that will do it better depending on your budget.
