Sig p229 E2 Leather holster?
I have a e2 229 9mm. I tried a blackhawk 3 slot leather pancake holster and it was way to tight. Anyone know which holster would fit the new e2? I picked up a cqc level 2 paddle holster and it fit my 229 and my m11 a1 perfect, but the leather didn't fly. Thanks.

The grip isn't what makes the difference, it's the trigger guard. On my p229 e2, I have the rail in the front so the trigger guard is more square. Without the rail, its more curved. Is the holster you have for the railed or non railed version?

Re: Sig p229 E2 Leather holster?
Mine is railed. The holster I tried was a blackhawk 3 slot 228,229, leather pancake holster. I tried 3 of them and they were all way to tight. I just tried a friends xd blackhawk leather pancake and it felt way, better. He just got it 2 days ago. It would almost work for my 229 but the snap was extremely tight against the hammer. I could have forced it closed but I didnt. The M11 A1 fit the same way, good except the strap.

I just re-worked a DeSantis shouder rig to fit a new 229 Scorpion. All it took was wetting the holster and re-forming the trigger guard area. The newer 229's with a rail are a little bigger in the holster than all of the other 1911's.

I use the Gould & Goodrich B803-229 holster with my P229R-E2.
I let the 229 sit in the holster for a few days, then treated with Draw-EZ.

If I were in the market I would verify this is for a railed pistol and buy it if it is http://forum.pafoa.org/accessories-a...ght-pouch.html

Re: Sig p229 E2 Leather holster?
A lot of the manufacturer sites list holsters for the 229R (all recent productions are e2 size) in their pick you gun drop downs. I found mine on Desantis site which let me pick railed as an option. Another option that I tried was asking at a LGS.

Re: Sig p229 E2 Leather holster?
Does the sig e29r 40 have the same dimensions as the 9mm? Because I just received my safariland 7ts 7378 paddle holster not long ago. and it says sig p229r e2 9mm on the side but I have an e2 40 cal and it seems really tight. It doesn't just snap in easily and its been this way for about a week now.
