Default Opinions on Rossi or Charter Arms?

    Any experience with these revolvers?

    I really like this one.

Never a problem with any of my Rossi's. I carry my 720 (44spl) everyday. And I also had a 68 (38 snubby) for a few years until my friend was able to buy it back(she needed cash, so I bought it from her).

    Opinions?

Been wanting a .22LR CA that resembles the original .44Spl Bulldog Son of Sam since forever.
All of my guns are lubed with BACON GREASE.

Rossi is ok for the price in my experience. Charter has some reputation issues that I've heard of though. The only CA that I would have much interest in is the 44 Special because it seems to be the only one that doesn't suffer from complaints.

The only thing that Charter really has over anyone is they make oddball revolvers (colors and calibers) that others don't (Pittbull series). But, again, seems to be hit or miss on reliability/quality if the internet armchair crowd is right.

All that being said, there aren't many guns that they make that other companies don't do better that you can't pick up used for a couple more bucks IMO.

I own a few of both and have not had any issues. I think with both you just need to be selective.
Charter arms service is second to none. I thought I had a problem with my 40 cal revolver ( actually was my fault, and nothing was wrong with gun ) but they did what I asked and got gun back to me in under a week. Then I bought an old 38 and the cylinder release was bad, they fixed it and tuned the whole gun and had it back to me in 10 days! Rossi is pretty much a Taurus so hit or miss but again, I haven't had any issues with mine

My wife carries a CA Lavender Lady 38 and she loves it. She has put about 250-300 shots thru it and has never had any problems. Just my .02

Knight might be lucky with his. I have an Interarmco Rossi 720 that is so bad I won't sell it to someone else. But bear in mind this was produced under the OLD Rossi firm and the new firm will not even service it.

Try to sample one in person. If the action of the weapon feels comfortable to you, purchase it. I do not believe that rossi nor charter have had any durability issues.
