Federal government "owns" 89% of Nevada?
How in hell did it come to pass that a state, having defined borders, losses 89 percent of itself to "the government"..which is supposed to be WE THE PEOPLE

Re: Federal government "owns" 89% of Nevada?
First you heard of this?
The BLM "owns" a large chunk of the west.
The feds owns about 1/8 of the country.
Basically by the late 19th early 20th century the fed decided it's mission to settle the west had been accomplished, and decided to keep the rest for itself.FUCK BIDEN

A government entity owns all the property in the country in one way or another. Stop paying your property taxes and see what happens to your home. You don't own your house, you lease it from the government.
Rules are written in the stone,
Break the rules and you get no bones,
all you get is ridicule, laughter,
and a trip to the house of pain.

Re: Federal government "owns" 89% of Nevada?
The land itself came under federal control as part of the Utah territory. Then the Nevada incorporated territory was created, and finally it became a state. The federal government defined its borders. It maintained control of a large chunk of the state as part of the act that conferred statehood.

So we have not really left merry olde England's/Europe's methods. The king and nobility own the land and allow the serfs to keep the humble pie...as long as they pay their taxes.

You need a Land Patent or Allodial Title to own your land as a sovereign citizen. Those rights that were once that of American citizens were taken away with formation of the Federal Reserve Bank. The bankers awarded themselves the title to your lands and let the borrowing against that land begin. Nevada had begun a program of restoring Allodial Titles to citizens in the 1990's but was stopped in 2005. I'd be curious to know whether this rancher out in Nevada has an Allodial Title to his land and if this isn't the real reason for the show of force. They can't force him off his land but they can starve him out by seizing his livelihood or they can murder him and his family because he can only leave it to one heir. Yes, it's almost that time. This goes a lot deeper than what it looks like on the surface. Having to restore citizen's rights would upset the apple cart for those very elite like Harry Reid. To him and the others of the ruling class you are nothing but serfs.

Had to look it up.Never heard of allodial title before. Rep given.
Although the word "allodial" has been used in the context of private ownership in a few states of the United States, this ownership is still restricted by governmental authority; the word 'allodial' in these cases describes land with fewer but still significant governmental restrictions.[1]
Most property ownership in common law jurisdictions is fee simple. In the United States, land is subject to eminent domain by federal, state and local government, and subject to the imposition of taxes by state and/or local governments, and there is thus no true allodial land. Some states within the US (notably, Nevada and Texas) have provisions for considering land allodial under state law and the term may be used in other circumstances.
The above quote from wiki definitions.

Many of the western states with large tracts of unpopulated land have a very high percentage of Federal ownership.
