What calipers are you using?
So I went the cheapo route and bought a 10 dollar caliper at harbor freight. Boy was that a mistake, it would not return to zero and while decreasing inches it would increase on the digital scale.
Basically I am looking for recommendations on calipers. I have heard and seen on youtube that frankford arsenal calipers are decent. Dillon has a 30 dollar caliper in their catalog.
What are you using for your reloading measurements?

I use a set of digital ones from cabelas. Under $30 if I remember right.

Got a Kanon dial years ago as a gift that I use a lot for loading. When I trim brass and do a lot of measuring I grab one of my Mitutoyo IP67 electronics.

Re: What calipers are you using?
I had great luck with the step up from Harbor Freight for years in my garage, so when I wanted a set for my reloading bench, I just picked up another set.

Re: What calipers are you using?
The inexpensive Frankford Arsenal digital calipers I bought at King Shooters Supply along with reloading equipment work fine. A must for measuring bullet OAL and case dimensions.

When you need precise measurements, you can't fudge with quality instruments. I'm a retired tooling engineer, with 20 prior years as a prototype machinist, so my opinion should matter: Go with the good stuff.
I have Mitutoyo and Brown & Sharpe carbide-lined jaw calipers and trust them completely.

Harbor Freight el Cheapo digital. I've used it for years. It works fine. You must have gotten a bad one,or I found the only good one on the shelf that day.
