Default Good morning, patriots in New York!!

    http://www.ammoland.com/2014/04/good...#axzz2yx9i3Hlh

Albany, NY --(Ammoland.com)- Governor Cuomo awoke this morning to a massive problem, one million plus new felons, all armed with scary, high capacity, assault weapons!

An estimated million plus, formerly law abiding, gun owners have refused to comply with Cuomo and down state Democrat’s naive belief that the NY Safe Act, passed in a so called emergency session of the New York legislature, could force free people to register their hard earned property.

And who can blame these once lawful gun owners, with a president that picks and chooses which laws he will follow or enforce, as well as an Federal Attorney General that operates daily with a Contempt of Congress charge and gun running scandal, “Fast & Furious”, hanging over his head. Why should the average New York joe, bother to follow the law, especially when it is in direct conflict with the Constitution of the United States, the one true law of the land.

Good morning New York and good morning USA to the new reality of living without the rule of law.

    Molon Labe America!

If anyone thinks Malloy in CT and Cuomo in NY are nervous or otherwise overly concerned about the lack of compliance so far, they are deluding themselves.

So........why do gun lovers even live in places like NY (CA, ME, MA, MD, NJ, CT, etc.)? Why not just pick the fuck up and move out? Yeah, sure, there would be some cost and unpleasant disruption involved - but all things considered, in the long run, why don't people just do this?

I ask this question as someone who has picked the fuck up and moved across the country twice - and yes, it involved the wife and I finding new companies to work for and new jobs in the process. So, I know it can be done. I just wonder why more people are not doing it?

It's not just the gun issue - it's all the other issues that go with these kinds of places. Why don't conservatives (or at least people who think of themselves that way), just retreat out of these places and leave them to rot in the hands of liberals? If nothing else, by concentrating ourselves into smaller regions, the hold on local politics can be more secure.

    Thanks,
    F

A better question, why do any LEO's obey orders to enforce this stuff? That needs to stop.

Soon there will be nowhere to run. When a state goes down the toilet because of progressive policies, the progressives flee the state they ruined, move to conservative states and start to ruin them as well. That's what's happening in Colorado and Virginia now.

Yeah...that's where the overwhelming force concept comes in. You have to pack the place so the liberals look for an easier target - and take other measures to avoid being a place where they want to go.

Well don't be surprised, I believe after the next election here Pennsylvania will be just like NY, NJ, CT, CA and the rest.

I highly doubt that law enforcement from NY, Ct and other states that passed laws regulating self-loading firearms and large capacity magazine are going to implement door to door searches. What these laws did accomplish is it effectively caused any firearm on the restricted list to disappear. In other words if someone has any that are not in compliance with the law they are going have to hide it. That means the owner can’t take it to the range, fire them recreationally, or even show them to anyone. If someone knows anyone who possesses any illegal firearms they can subject the owner to blackmail or the person that knows could make anonymous complaints to the police. If the owner gets into a domestic dispute with their wife, girlfriend etc. who has knowledge of the firearms and its location and the police are called its probable that the responding officer is going to be made aware of the firearm and its location. Another point to consider is that liberal leaning states that have “assault weapons bans” in place (CA) had them for many years without any serious threats of repeal from the public, politicians or the courts. The bottom line the owner of any illegal firearms is walking on egg shells and I hate to say it but if history repeats itself, these laws in NY and CT are there to stay.

Well said. Cuomo is happy because the sheeple of NY who fear guns think they have become safer... even though they're not. He can ignore the truth, which is that a whole lot of gun owners are mad as hell and want him voted out in November. Sadly, we have large groups of people in the cities who depend on the handouts and need them to continue- they will keep people like him in office. In the meantime Cuomo can brag about how he pushed through the tough gun laws as he looks to run for higher office.
We also have plenty of gun owners who still don't understand the law that was passed a year ago that now makes them felons, requires BG checks for ammo purchase, eliminates the pre-ban status of rifles that were legally owned, etc etc. They're pissed when they find out what's been done to them, but it's too late.
The lesson for residents of other states is clear - it CAN happen to you.

Yup, Tom Wolf will get elected because Corbett wasn't Republican enough, Too Republican, Too middle of the road, Too Right Wing, Insert Bull Shit excuse here, Etc...........

Meanwhile Libtard Reps will get voted in because "Principled" people will stay home and smoke doobies in their parent basements shouting off about being "Registered Libertarians". Not realizing that you can only register R, D , or I. I've never seen L or G or C or anything else on a voter registration form.
