Default GunBot and .22 Availability Malfunction

How come this week it's always telling me there is .22 available that is actually out of stock? Not everything, but usually one of the cheaper deals. It says it updated a minute ago but when I go to the website it's not in stock. And it still says it's in stock at GunBot for an hour (beyond when I stop checking) after many updates.

^^^ Not sure why this is happening, but I've been running into this myself recently.

    Not just with 22 either.

Camped in to see if anyone has the answer.

I have too noticed this happening. I have been leaving it on in the background and when the alert rings, nothing available. Either the ammo market has a similar problem as the stock market with high freq. buyers cornering the market. Or the websites have figured out gunbot and wikiarms etc. and are fixing the results to have people come to their sites. My ratio of trips to walmart to purchases of .22 has risen in the past few months. I think the lack of cheaper .22 will continue until it starts affecting the sales of .22lr. IIRC 2013 saw a three fold increase in .22lr sales.

Either the stuff gets sold out that quick, or the refresh time between fetching the pages is "too long" on gunbot's end. This would happen occasionally during the last Great Ammo Drought, where eg Freedom Munitions would post availability and be sold out in seconds, but gunbot continued to show them as available.

I got it from a good source that it is a flashback to the Y2K issue.

    Just slow in developing.

As with most things, you get what you pay for. They screw up a lot there. They have lots of links to brass, not ammo, and the wrong cartridges too. However, I have had a lot of success in the past year or so. Great site, but still needs some work.

As for 22, I've posed here before about how I've given up on it, at least until it is readily available at reasonable prices. Don't really miss it since I've been shooting other calibers anyway.
You can never have enough horsepower or ammunition.

Neither. Ever. I covered that in the OP.
