Glock 23 2005 Vintage
I went out looking for a Glock 23 today and found one at John's tackle in Easton. Checked it out and it had an H prefix serial, but looked brand new. hardly any wear on the barrel, and still had the copper grease on the rails. Im guessing it has had no more than 50 rounds fired through it total. And wow, that jet black teflon frying pan finish makes the new finish on my other Glocks look like crap. The quality overall of the older guns just seems better too. I know that it has no MIM pieces. I also saw that one of the 2 mags was a ban mag marked GOVT/LE use only!
Best part, he had it priced at $395, so it came home with me. Looks like I found my new favorite carry gun. I never knew the compacts felt so good in the hand until I handled my buddy's the other day and said "yep" I have to get one. And this older "new" model is even better. I will be selling my 27 now since I will most likely never carry it again.
Anybody else prefer the older Glocks?

Have one made in 04' and two made in 08' or 09'. The older one just seems to shoot and eject better. All have the same slide finish. I would say you got a good deal, enjoy.

Re: Glock 23 2005 Vintage
I own two G23's. A gen2 circa 1997, and a gen3 circa 2011. I leave a LW 40-9 conv barrel in it. The gen3 is practically new although I got it used for 400. Both great guns and now my 20yr old son is eyeing them up.
