Arrested for filming outside of established 1st Amendment zone.
http://www.examiner.com/article/feds...amendment-area
"On Sunday, the Logandale, Nev.-based Moapa Valley Progress reported that Dave Bundy, son of rancher Cliven Bundy, was arrested while taking photographs of his family’s cattle that are being rounded up by federal agents. According to the report, Bundy was violating an arbitrary "First Amendment" zone that had been established by federal agents. Worse yet, federal agents also deployed snipers against the man.
“He was doing nothing but standing there and filming the landscape,” Ryan Bundy said of his brother Dave. “We were on the state highway, not even off of the right-of-way. Even if they want to call [the area that we were filming] federal land; which it’s not; we weren’t even on it. We were on the road.”"A man who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing which is more important than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature and has no chance of being free unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself"

Re: Arrested for filming outside of established 1st Amendment zone.
I'm just trying to make sure I understand this. There are now zones where the 1st amendment isn't in effect? Is this possible? How can they do something like that? Forgive me if I seem ignorant, as far as this goes, I am.

This doesn't seem like too much of a leap for the anti liberty types. Why would we think the 1st is untouchable if the 2nd has been perverted to what it is now?
Practicing free speech outside of the designated free speech zones.

Re: Arrested for filming outside of established 1st Amendment zone.
Fox News had a presentation of the grazing wars as part of their program "Enemies of the State" on Sunday. Federal agents and the Federal government are waging a war with it's citizens and at least one News agency has the tanacity to expose this "War on Freedom". Our whole way of life is being threatened by a government out of control. The first, second and fourth amendments are visibly under attack and at every opportunity American citizens are being subjected to government abuses in this "War on freedom". We are spied upon without legitimate warrants, our religious freedoms are being subverted by a forced and clearly unconstitutional healthcare plan that is rejected by the majority of Americans. Land is being seized from private ownership and claimed for the "greater good". The IRS is abusing citizens for political objectives to put a damper on free speech. Folks, our government now controls us and not the other way around. The Constitution is being shredded right before our eyes.

Re: Arrested for filming outside of established 1st Amendment zone.
In PA we have a certain law the kinda prohibits the use of deadly force to avoid an illegal arrest.
However, federal agents(probably state agents too if our law is challenged) don't have that protection. In fact the federal courts have ruled that deadly force can be used to avoid an illegal arrest, and at worst the max possible penalty would be manslaughter. ....so, what law made by Congress did that man violate by taking pictures?
Seriously, someone show me the law, then show me a place where the nearest 1A-Free-Zone is.. As long as the 2nd and 1st are under attack, throw the 3rd out as well.
Imagine the money that could be saved if all the military barracks were closed, and citizens living near bases just put soldiers up on their couches and in their extra bedrooms.
