fingerprinting?
Where is the best place to get fingerprints taken? Website of a police station near me said 10 bucks. Is that the going rate? I'm in phoenixville (chester county).

Re: fingerprinting?
Check with your County Sheriff and local State Police barracks.. depends what it's for..
I needed mine for a Federal Security background check and both said free..
I have heard of folks that needed it for out of state CC Permits or civilian jobs and the answer runs the gambit from Free / charge / will not do it..
I believe Sheriff's offices are usually a bit friendlier since they rely on your vote to keep their job
Just way up North on the NY Border they are up to their armpits with LTCF applications.

Re: fingerprinting?
Around here the local PD's charge $10-$20, but often do it for free for tax paying residents.

Re: fingerprinting?
Thanks it's for an out of state CC permit. I saw the ups store does it too. I'll call around to the local law enforcement tomorrow.

Throw a brick through a store window in the middle of the day. Wait for the police. Guaranteed you'll get fingerprinted for free.
On second thought, that might not be a good idea.

Re: fingerprinting?
Schulykill township police do it but they close at 3 every day. That's annoying. I'll keep looking.
