Lowest price for transfers in PGH to out of state FFL?
I'm selling a pistol out of state, and some Pittsburgh-area FFLs charge an arm and a leg to do the transfer. What's the best price you've found?

You do not need use a FFL to ship *from*.
You can ship (common carrier/no USPS) direct to the rcv'ing FFL.

Todd at Gunrunners in North Versailles will take good care of you. It will end up costing less than half the amount that UPS or Fedex charge. Unless you're an FFL holder Uncle Sam will not permit you to ship any handguns through the USPS. They do allow long guns. Depending on the destination and weight of the gun, Fedex/UPS can zing you for $75 +.
I'd never use anyone else for xfers and shipping - www.gunrunnersofpa.com

Re: Lowest price for transfers in PGH to out of state FFL?
I've always regarded the main benefit thefact that I know all of the paperwork will be done correctly. I never have to worry about the Attorney General knocking on my door because of something the FFL did or didn't do.
If I'm shipping out a sale, I know that he'll handle the thing in a timely and professional manner. The buyer will receive his item when promised.
I've used gun shops in the past to ship out handguns that I'd sold. Paid an arn and a leg for them to forget to send to the buyer for 2 weeks. "It got kicked under the owners desk" It took this poor buyer 3 weeks to get the Hi Power that I promised would arrive in 3 days. Naturally I took the delivery charge off the total that I charged the buyer. The owner of this shop would make no accommodation with me, not even a "Sorry". He washed his hands of all accountability.
I always get the sense that they're doing me a huge favor when I use a shop for transfers.
With Todd, it's never like that. He'sa trustworthy guy that's also active in the shooting sports.
He does hand out a punch card to new customers. After 5 transfers, you'll earn a free one. There's other stuff like refrigerator magnets.
