Your gun is YOUR property take it with you. You have a duty to defend your family. Ltcf has no bearing on moving a gun from house to house.

Transport it unloaded with ammo in separate box.

You should probably just leave it in your old apartment for the new tenant since the gun is registered to that address.
Rules are written in the stone,
Break the rules and you get no bones,
all you get is ridicule, laughter,
and a trip to the house of pain.

I think the current dwelling is his mom's....I am assuming she would still be living there.
To answer OP though, yes, take it with you. As noted above, it needs to be in a secure package during transport and, to err on the side of caution, I would recommend no stops between old home and new.
Your gun is not "registered" (legally) to any address or person.

There is no gun registration in Pennsylvania. If fact, gun registration is ILLEGAL in PA. Stop listening to moron's who don't know the law, read this forum intently and learn the actual laws that pertain to long guns and firearms in PA.
Welcome, good luck, enjoy your new abode.

There is absolutely a registry in this State. Try to buy a handgun here without being put into it. It's sad that so many members of this site believe that bullshit, "it's a sales database, not a registry" or "if only 99.999% of the handguns are in it then it isn't a registry because it's not complete", lol. I've looked at dozens of definitions for the word "registry" and still haven't seen one that uses the word "complete" except for the made up definition used by our Supreme Court.

Re: if i am moving, should i take my gun with me?
I bought a hi point pistol for $25 in the alley behind a massage parlor the other night. I bet that's not on any registry. See, it's easy.
NOTE TO ATF/FBI/DHS/ETC: This is only a joke. This is not a real crime as I didn't actually do this. Please do not kick in my door and shoot my dog. I do not have a hi point pistol (though I have heard they are pretty awesome.) We now return you to your regularly scheduled sarcasm.
