Re: First AR
I was looking at the Colt 6920 but have not been able to find one, yet, in PA that wasn't marked up to early 2013 prices, hundreds of dollars beyond what the online sellers like Grab a gun or CDNN have them for.
What about the Sig M400? I was looking at these yesterday and it seems they come in at around $1000 and have a good fit and finish.
I like the look of the LMT guns as well but more expensive at $600 more. Is that worth the cost for my first AR or am I better going for a $1000 AR and freeing up money for other stuff?

Re: First AR
If you have the extra money available and you plan to shoot the gun a decent amount I would spend the extra cash. I did not cheap out on my first AR, spent well north of $1k and built it myself.
This is a good entry level AR. Out of stock now but they will probably get a shipment fairly soon.

Or spend some more money and buy a BCM. You can buy a BCM complete lower or build a lower and then just add a BCM upper, BCG and CH. You can also get almost complete BCM rifles minus, stock, handguard and sights.

This is the least expensive LMT I know of.
