buffalo bore 45+p 255gr
Hey,
I'm sure you've had this question before but,,,,,please be gentle.
I have a new to me colt cco, officer's aluminum frame, commander slide.
Took it out yesterday to try the BB heavy load. (.45acp+p 255gr flat nose hard cast). 3 out of 6 failed to chamber or stovepiped, I stopped there. I know that I'm stressing the gun.
In your opinions, would a heavier spring solve the problem? suggestions on having it feed and fire reliably?
Thanks in advance
Craig

Re: buffalo bore 45+p 255gr
that load is not expected to feed in every 1911 pattern gun, and i would not see any reason to use it. i shoot similar handloads in a 25-2 N frame 45 ACP revolver. send what you have left to me for safe adn secure disposal.
stick with hardball 230s.

Re: buffalo bore 45+p 255gr
Ok, figured that would be the case. Lots of bears with cubs and other critters this time of year. It feeds ball and semi wadcutters ok. I've used this load in other 1911 platforms without issue. Really think it might blow up huh?
