Pretty much the same design , but a few modifications and threading to suit my needs. Mainly to fit my Lee dies at 1-1/4 inch.

I need something like that for my .45-120.. The dies are the standard diameter, but the cases are 3.25" long. I can only load 300-325gr bullets in my press because of the limited stroke length. And to get the loaded cartridges out I have to jiggle it a bit, sometimes turning the die out.

God forbid if I want to load 350gr on up to 720gr slugs.. ...just wont happen in my press.

Neat DIY project, but for less than $110 you can get a Lee Classic cast iron press and do 50BMG. You probably have $100 in materials alone.

Hardest part of a press is a good priming system, even for a single stage.

And while it does look impressive, reloading (even resizing) does not take more than a few dozen pounds of pressure. You lube the case the bullets are only a press fit in the neck.

To big, to heavy, I don't think you'll use it much.

You think that will handle a fifty? I have a rock crusher or chucker from rcbs, its specifically made for the fifty, and that thing just about gets the job done (resizing anyway).

Here's a whole mess of happy Lee Classic Cast 50BMG reloaders:

    http://www.ar15.com/archive/topic.html?b=6&f=3&t=223984

"happy with mine, its part of the .50 kit i got from lee."
"Love mine, I have had it since last year. I've loaded about 250 rds "
"I loaded all of this about 2 months ago on the Lee"
"I think they are the best value for the money."

    and more like that.

OP is building a monster... as long as he gets the over-toggle link and lever arm ratio right it will work... but for $110 he could be reloading by now
