Nevermind. Didn't see it was a brace.

Looking good. Recently put my first pistol together too...keep debating between the Sig brace and going SBR. Looks good with the FDE brace. Were you able to order it in FDE or did you paint it? Haven't really looked into them too much.

Its a Sig brace. It comes with a letter from the ATF. Still a pistol not a rifle.

I ordered it from KAK Industries. The FDE is a factory Sig color.

I hope, you have a SBR tax stamp for that.

As soon as you put a but stock on it. It has become a short barreled rifle.

If you didn't and you keep this post up expect ATF to pay you a visit.

And no, removing the but stock won't unring the bell.

Once you changed it into a rifle ---- the ATF views it as a SBR forever.
You are completely off base here. OP has the Sig Sauer SB15 brace on his pistol. It IS a pistol, not a rifle. The brace is designed for use on the forearm and is ATF approved.

I know you are trying to be helpful, but you should be correct before taking this kind of tone with someone.

I haven't had a chance to shoot it yet. Hoping to get out next weekend. I've installed one in mine and one for my dad. They feel nice but time will tell. I have a standard 90 that does nice.

Ha! Dual wield would be cool until it came time to reload...or un-strap them to take a piss. Lol.

So, can the misuse of this produce make it an illegal SBR?

If you get caught shooting without the brace attached to your arm, are you screwed in the ATF kind of way?
