    Default winchester defend replacing PDX1?

I recently picked up a 38 snub nose and I usually carry pdx1 in all my semis when I carry. I was at cabelas last week and they had the new Winchester defend in 38 special and it looked the same as pdx1. the defend is not +p and I remember the pdx1 being +p. my revolver is not rated +p. anyway just wondering if they are replacing the pdx1 with the new defend if anyone knows. they had 9mm in 147 grain in the defend and it seemed the same as the 147 grain pdx1. just curious. I did pick up the defend in 38 special for my new snubby since its not +p

It doesn't appear to be the case. Both products are currently listed on Winchester's web site. Here is the PDX1 page (apparently they are re-branded as "Defender" ammo). You can see the 130gr .38 special +p bonded PDX1 (S38PDB) is listed there.

Here is the the new "Train & Defend" ammo product page where the non +p .38 special (W38SPLD) is listed:

The new "Train & Defend" product line is apparently aimed at new shooters with reduced load for less felt recoil, as well as designed to have the same POI as the cheaper target/range rounds in the same product line. Here is a write-up from the Firearms Blog.
