    Default Getting the Utah CCP

My check was cashed on Feb 18. Wondering how long it will take to get the permit ?????

Call them and ask? What do I win?

The response times for all licenses/permits varies pretty wildly depending on the agency processing the app, and the flood of apps they happen to be dealing with from month-to-month.

I could tell you how long I waited (about 6 weeks), but that was the summer of 2009, and probably not very applicable to your app.

No chicken dinner for me, eh?

Let us know what they say, the turnaround time really does change and it's nice to have current information.

I just heard from a friend in North Carolina who renewed his Utah permit and had his new permit in his hands in just 6 days.

My Utah renewal was about a week also, last fall.

If I recall, they don't do the background check until after they have sent you your renewed card. And will contact you if there is a problem. Wild concept, huh ?

By law the Utah BCI must grant or deny within 60 days. Application is considered received when check / credit card is cashed/ charged.

This was conveyed to me by BCI at my Utah Instructor renewal.
