well being 61 years old I am sure that a young guy like you will be able to take this old man to the cleaners with this one... but I am looking forward to it... sounds like fun and gives me something to do during the summer months.

I just got back from Alaska, so I was not ignoring your question. The .19-223 is based on the .223 case. The .19 Calhoon is based on the Hornet case.
Two different cartridges. There is also the .19 Calhoon Badger. That is based on the .30 M1 carbine case.

Alaska? hope you had fun in the land of the midnight sun? Al of them sound interesting. I haven't played with any thing smaller than 20 cal, but maybe one of these days I'l get me a 17.....................

I use a .300 win mag for a rifle and my Ruger Mark II for a pistol down in WV on my grandfathers farm. I killed a pig at 113 steps with the Ruger taking a rest off a fence post last year. My granddad uses a 22-250.

Got out today looking for them, jumped up on a hay wagon to glass the field a little better and promptly went through the rotten floorboard, twisting my left ankle about 180 degrees as I went down on it. Needless to say didn't get any shooting in

I bought my 223 used and if you think a 243 is loud, you should hear my 223, it came with a muzzle brake. I CAN shoot my 243 w/o ear protection in a pinch, but I just won't do it with the 223. The nice thing about the 223 is it weighs ~12 pounds and with the brake, it doesn't move at all when you shoot.
