Philadelphia ranges allowing 7.62x54?
Anyone know of any decent ranges that allow 7.62x54? Not looking to pay ridiculous range fees like you typically see in the Philadelphia area and am looking to shoot my own ammo.
Any and all suggestions are welcome.

Re: Philadelphia ranges allowing 7.62x54?
I appreciate the answer - they have some awesome stock of guns for sale but with that being said their range prices are a joke and the wait there has been crazy everytime I've shown up. $275 a year membership for rifle & handgun is just plain nuts. $20 an hour is equally as nuts lol.
I understand they're probably the nicest facility in the area, but if everyone charged the rates they do, they could all be that nice.
I appreciate the suggestion though! I've been there twice and everytime I regretted it because I spent a lot more than I should have just to shoot.

i would think that any outdoor range would allow it as long as it is normal surplus ammo

Delaware Valley Sports Center does....I believe. Call them and find out.

With our range, we allow anyone to use their own ammo when shooting pistols. Yes, that does include the .50 Caliber Desert Eagle, along with the .500 Smith and Wesson. We also allow high power rifle to be used within our range. AR, AK's and .308's do not need to purchase our ammo to shoot here. Shotgun use is restricted to members only. Members are required to use slugs only. Staff members may ask to see your ammo upon arrival before entering the range to ensure shooter safety.

Re: Philadelphia ranges allowing 7.62x54?
Was there today - they have a sign that says no 7.62x54 they also banned 30-06 and the other usual banned rounds. I spoke to the owner and he did say that they were not allowed. It seemed strange to me considering they sell 7.62x54 rifles and ammo.. it is what it is. I love that range too but I want to shoot my x54.

Classic Pistol is nice and usually no wait. There $20 an hour also but in my opinion the best indoor range in the Philadelphia area.

Re: Philadelphia ranges allowing 7.62x54?
just because they sell 7.62x54 doesn't mean the range is capable of handling it. lots of indoor ranges limit rifle calibers so you're stuck with shooting hand guns or rifles chambered in hand gun calibers. checkout classic pistol you can shoot all the 7.62x54 ammo you want plus its a very nice facility with a good selection of firearms and accessories.
