Default Gun Smith to Fix AK Front Site Cant

I am looking for a gun smith to talk about fixing front site cant on an AK I recently purchased. I could probably fix it on my own but thought Id ask. I am located in the Lehigh valley. If any one has experience let me know.

Precision Armaments, Inc. located on SR 873 south of Slatington. Ask for Charlie the shop is located in the rear of the Slatington Floor Center. Excellent AK work and reasonable prices, his shop is listed in the phone book also.

    Questions:
    1. Have you shot it yet?
    2. With the sights as-is, and with proper sight alignment, did it shoot to point of aim?
    3. Is the front sight POST far over to one side of the "ears"?
    4. Is there a muzzle device on it when you are shooting? I've noticed the regular slant "device" will move the group an inch or so at 100 yards from where the group is without the device on.

If the front sight post is well-centered with respect to the ears AND it shoots to point of aim, then maybe the rear sight block was canted (too) Maybe.

You might be disappointed if you eliminate the cant and then find you have to push/drift the front sight post waaaaay over to one side vs. the ears.

The front site post is leaning to the right and therefore the post is as far too the left as possible. The cleaning rob bends when it is in place. The AK needs its first range trip. So I won't have anything done until I shoot it a little. But aesthetically it looks bad and I would like it fixed.

    a) First- if possible, I would consider using a front sight tool to correct it. It may not look great, but you should be able to push it back to zero it. I overcame a Lancaster canted AK this way. Front sight tools are like $10 or less.

    b)

I agree with the other poster- precision armaments in Slatington is the best AK gunsmith in this area, he excellent work on an AK-74 of mine at a reasonable price.

I am tempted to use a rubber hammer. There is a YouTube video where a guy does this with a bore sight, vice and hammer.
