Philly LTCF interview and tattoos

I believe the interviewer's first statement/question goes something like this:

"Do you understand that any false statements or answers in this interview can lead to an arrest?"

I do agree that all PA counties should have a uniform policy but unfortunately this is not the case. As a resident of Philadelphia, I'm not going to move (or change my address, etc) to protest it.

If you want a LTCF and you live in Philadelphia, this is what you have to do.

There is simply no point in going there and giving them attitude or being stand-offish, as it will only increase your chances of being denied.

I have a bunch of tattoos that were done since my last LTCF renewal in Philly. If I remember correctly, the interviewer asked me to disclose any information about tattoos, but I can't remember being asked to show them anything.

Anyway.... I would prefer not to tell them anything and show up for my renewal interview with long sleeves. It's really none of their business as far as I'm concerned, and there doesn't appear to be any legal requirement to tell them.

Does anybody from Philly remember being asked to show their skin after being asked about tattoos? If I get denied an LTCF for failing to disclose this information, what are my options at that point? Would I be FOREVER denied an LTCF?

It may seem petty and maybe paranoid to some, but I prefer not to be catalogued like some sort of criminal. And I certainly don't want to provide any more identifying information than absolutely necessary because you never
know how it might be used in the future. The less they know, the better.

Yes i have tattoos (3) and I was asked about scars too... It was the same when I went into the Military... So I guess I am desensitized to it..

To me it's not a big deal, after all my ink is on display anyway.... It's not going anywhere anytime soon..

Haha. It doesn't matter anyway, I am in the system. FBI and SS... I have clearances that required a Back ground check thru these fine folks

is that something thats only done in Philly,never heard of it in Adams or York counties , just wondering,

I got my LTCF in Lackawanna County and nothing was ever asked about tattoos or any scars.

I knew that.... I was "THERE" already

I have cleared by Secret Service multiple times in order to do my job.

I was a TS clearance while military...

If "THEY" want to know... They will find out anyway.

My finger prints have been in Uncles files since 1981
