    Default Club Sponsorship Young wood

Hi all just moved here about six months ago from Michigan to New Stanton. Club I joined in Michigan was sign up pay and take a class, and your in. I used to do shotgun and rifle shooting, and need to join a club it seems to shoot here. My issues is I am a traveler, usually on the road during the week and can never make that third Wednesday or fifth Mondays that clubs have meetings. Where I have to as my phone research shows I have to hope I can find two sponsors. I miss shooting outdoor club and need some help, I'm closest to Youngwood but at this point would love to join somewhere. I am an NRA RSO, and lifetime member with NRA , VFW and DAV. if any of that helps sway some favor.

No guarantee however I think if you can locate and explain your situation to a club officer, most will work with you. I recently joined the VSC. I was unable to attend the first meeting do to a family situation. The club president went out of his way to work with me. VSC would not be the best choice for you a little far. I think some of the smaller clubs are having trouble filling vacancies and are a little less stringent on the application process.

If you live in New Stanton and like to shoot Trap, Skeet, or Five Stand, Pistol, Archery, or Rifle, then you really should consider Pitcarin-Monroeville Sportsmen's Club. http://www.pmsconline.com

From New Stanton you would just jump on the Pa. Turnpike and head west, get off at the Monroeville exit, make a left onto Rt 48 and from there it's anywhere from 10 to at worse 20 minutes to the Club.

To join you have to come to a meeting where you will find two members who will sign your app form. The initiation fee is $30 and the annual dues are $70. Cheap!!

Check out the web site and PM me if you have any questions.

At PMSC you don't physically need to attend a meeting. They permit a proxy.

    From here:http://www.pmsconline.com/pmsc/?q=membership

"I can't make it to the club during the monthly meeting to apply. What do I do?
It is required that you attend a monthly meeting to apply and introduce yourself. If you cannot attend, your sponsor will attend in your place and present your application for you. "

As written its ambiguous. If it is $100 for the initiation fee for 2014, it's news to me!

Hmmmm........It would appear that said initiation fee has been voted an increase. I would do as Hawk has suggested and ask. I downloaded the application and it states on the app the initiation fee is $100. And when I looked under the FAQ section it clearly states the initiation fee is $100 and due at the time of application.

My fault in posting bad information. OTOH, I don't know another club where you can find all of the shooting facilities for the annual cost of this Club. However, you have to be the ultimate judge of that.
