    Default Bersa Handguns

I just heard of these. The prices seem right, and good reviews.

Any of you guys have Bersa handguns, or know anything about them?

I have two a thunder 9 and a older 383 da. Both are solidly built, perform flawless and didn't cost a ton of money

First semi-auto was a .380, great guns, very underrated.

Don't know much about the newer ones (the Pro, polygonal rifling, etc.). IIRC mags were kind of pricey, but all around very good pistols.

I found out about them when I was researching 380s. The Bersa Thunder 380 has a lot of positive reviews.

Owned a full-size thunder9 years ago. Worked fine, accurate enough, but noticed the plastic guide rod starting to look like a chewed on pencil, so I sold it. Think I paid $365 for it,slightly used.

They look great but seem a little bit rough around the edges, but hey I saw them go for as little as $299 at the last Oaks show.

Shot a well used Bersa Thunder .380 about six months ago. Was not impressed. Worse in about every way to my LCP (maybe I just really like the LCP, I'm certainly familiar with it), and the slide literally couldn't be locked back because the little piece of metal that the slide stop engages with broke off the slide.

That one might have been abused, or maybe that's how they get once they've been shot a lot. Who knows...

I just bought one (Bersa Thunder Duotone) for my wife at the Oaks Show. Took it to the range, performed great. Had one FTF, last round in the mag, probably halfway through a box of 50. That was the only hiccup. Could have been from my wifes grip too. Book even states a 200 - 300 round break in period, IIRC.

Price was good, wife and even I liked the feel and fit, lifetime warranty...what's not to like. Just wish .380 ammo was easier to find.

Owned the Thunder 380 model. It ran very well. No complaints. Would purchase another in a heartbeat.

I have a Thunder .40. Love it. Eats anything, nice to shoot and very affordable.
