Nope, I'm just relying on it at the range so it is fine for that use.

I am in the school of optics equaling or exceeding the value of the rifle, at least the upper cost. I tend to look at FOV, objective size, low light viewing, true 1x vs. 1.x, and make up of the glass.

So I decided on the Vortex strikefire for my pistol build (that will eventually be converted to an sbr if I ever get around to the paperwork.) I bought from PSA along with PSA flip up sights for $176.99 ($169 + $7 shipping.) Not the best deal, but I wanted some BUIS too, so I will see how well it works and decide if I want to upgrade to the Sparc II (which I don't think is available yet.)

And then primary arms sent me an email that included this item for sale:

    https://www.primaryarms.com/Vortex-S...r15-bundle.htm

Vortex strikefire with PA 3 magnifier and mounts for both.

Yeah, I bought two, even though I ordered the strikefire with buis the other day...lol. Need one for the wife's new AR too, so I figured WTH? Even if you don't need the magnifier, it's nice to have...especially as the eyes get older.

Just bought a vortex strikefire it seem solid and I really like it so far. I also just checked out some other optics from lucid and thought they were pretty sweet.

Mine should be here Wednesday from PA...oddly enough, my PSA one hasn't even shipped. Thinking I am going to cancel it if it doesn't ship by tomorrow.
