    Default Guy's Glock 30 AD's into leg

What is you guys take from this?

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=azQcMqNMMN4

I want to call BS on this guys story.
I cannot see how a spring, not under tension, broke, sending the firing pin forward into the primer making it past the firing pin safety plunger. I'm gonna say SOMETHING got onto the trigger...I have seen/heard of guys holsters bending or contorting someway making contact into the trigger.

    Thoughts?

I am not trying to say that any gun is not capable of malfunctioning, but this malfunction does not make sense on any modern firearm.

He should file his lawsuit. There will be an engineering expert on both sides. That is what I would need to believe his account of the story.

Typically you need to look no further than what else is posted on ones Youtube channel.

Yep, methinks dudeman shot himself in the thigh. We call that an ND.

The majority of his videos are about growing weed and making BHO, butane hash oil, which I didn't even know was a thing until right now.

Ahhh point and match good sir on the investigation.
Had I noticed his "other" videos, I wouldn't have even wasted time posting this.
I just couldn't wrap my head around how a broken firing pin spring would cause the weapon to go off. If anything, one would think it'd prevent the weapon from discharging.
Too bad the "Police" that told him it was the result of the broken spring, didn't do a little bit more investigation of their own so he could change his youtube moniker to Cell-bunk-muffin

The thing that jumped out at me was the displeasure he seemed to have with the ER's simple treatment of him because he didn't have insurance.

He is the reason the rest of us pay through the nose for insurance. Ever since the passage of the Emergency Care and Active Labor Act under Reagan, the uninsured in our ER's have been a huge driver of health care costs.

After watching this guy's vid I am inclined to believe the broken spring theory. However, I don't think the firearm had a broken spring! So the next time someone points out someone demonstrating stupidly in action I will simply reply: probably a broken spring.

I am not seeing how the striker spring breaking caused the gun to fire. There is still the firing pin safety to keep the striker from hitting the primer. Then the drop safety and trigger safety. Even if you take the safeties out of the question and a broken spring caused the striker to somehow drop, chances are the striker will not set off the primer due to a light strike. Sure if you or someone else dicks with the gun you can turn it into a time bomb. What most likely happened here is the guy is lying out his ass about what happened. He most likely pulled the trigger somehow.(probably from being shit faced on something)
