So back to the age old question.
Will the troops fire on American citizens ? Are they being groomed to accept those orders? Its easier to fool people than to convince them they've been fooled....Mark Twain

They did at the Bonus Veteran's March. They used firearms and Adamsite, an arsenical that causes projectile vomiting.
Big difference was that they did not go to everyone's home to shoot. They shot at people who were squatting on property in DC when they refused to move on.

For an *alleged* "thug", that is. An alleged thug that was apparently very lucky to survive his "capture", I should add.
It seems in most cases of alleged "terrorism", we only get to hear one side of the story - the "government" side, of course - while people who may be able to shed light on what actually happened always seem to end up dead, inaccessibly cloistered away somewhere, deported, etc. Funny that.
I bet we'll never get to hear Dzhokhar Tsarnaev's side of the story.

Re: This is alittle alarming......
Greetings,
Uh, Waco, Ruby Ridge, etc, etc, etc.
To be more on point in regard to your question, far as I know, *most* of those that did the shooting were Feds, not mil.............BUT, at Waco in particular they had plenty of mil assistance, equipment and training. Can't say that any actual mil member took a shot, but perhaps they did. Who were driving the tanks and shooting the incendiaries, etc.? National Guard? SpecOps? Pretty sure there were all there.
Regards, Jim

Think Kent State. Think Bonus Army March. All you have to do is review your U.S. history back to Shay's Rebellion and the Whiskey Rebellion. The U.S. gov't has always acted with "extreme prejudice" to opposition to its power.
Consequently the grooming isn't as needed as you might think (or should I say hope) it is. The troops will follow orders.

Re: This is alittle alarming......
My buddy who was in the army laid it out like this. There's a few different types in the military. You have people who do it because they really do love America and want to protect it from all enemies foreign and domestic. But you also have those people who do it because they have nothing else going for them and need a job. The former you have no worries about, if some thing was to happen in this country they would side with the people no matter what. The latter on the other hand is a toss up. Some will follow orders no matter what, some won't, others who knows.
I think the military is just like the public. You have groups who are pro what ever the gov wants, those who are actively working against what the gov wants an those who could care less.WHEN DEMOCRACY TURNS TO TYRANNY, THE ARMED CITIZEN STILL GETS TO VOTE
