Default Looking for Open Sportsmen's Club

    Hello,

    First post here.

I'm currently trying to find a local sportsmen's club that is open for membership. I'm looking for a place to shoot pistols and small caliber rifles. I've looked around a bit, but most clubs seemed to be capped out, or require sponsorship from members.

Also, does anyone do any plinking anywhere except their own property?

    thanks

    Welcome to the forum!

Canonsburg Sportsmen's Club should be accepting new members around the end of Feb or beginning of March. Keep an eye on their website for info regarding that.

Thanks for the tip. When they do open, do you know whether they'll require me to be sponsored by current members?

I'm not exactly sure when the membership is opening up. I do know they have to tally up all of the "ex" members from last year that didn't renew their membership so they have to do that first in order to determine how many spots will be available. So keep an eye on their website for that info.

Yes, I'm pretty sure someone will have to sponsor you; I had to have a sponsor when I joined 5 or 6 years ago. But it's possible things may have changed since then. Sorry I don't have more info for you.
